The icon on the screen shows I have several that are ready to update, but when I go to that tab in iTunes, the screen is blank.

Yes, numerous people are having issues. It appears to be an Apple server-side issue. They are "working on it"
Still? The update notices are piling up and still no luck.
If you go to the App Store and go to the purchased tab you can go through all of your apps. They will either show open or update. You would have to search through all of them but you can at least still update your apps.
Thank you so much. My update count was pretty high and I couldn't figure out how to get my apps updated.
