I recently got an extension cord for my ipad charger and the first time I used it it worked and now when I plug it in to my ipad It doesn't do anything. What do I do?

I use a standard white household 8' extension cord that I think I paid about $6.00 for at a hardware store. I have been using this cord with two iPads and an iPod Touch for over two years and it works just fine.

Return it? If it doesn't work and it's a recent purchase, it should have some sort of warranty or guarantee.

You don't need to spend lots of money on an extension cable. Just plug the existing charger into a standard household extension cord.

Yes, we understand that. What Demo and I were saying is that you don't need that. You can plug the short USB cord into the charger, plug the charger into any standard household extension cord and plug that into the wall. Generally cheaper.

I think that we all understood what you meant. If the extension cord is no longer working, then return it.

We are all trying to tell you that you can plug the power block into a standard household extension cord - using the short cord that came with the iPad - and there is no need for the extension cord that you bought.

Does the charger still work without the extension cord? If so, then get another extensions cord. If it doesn't work without the extensions cord, then you need a new charger.
