My Macbook Pro keeps coming up with "accountsd wants to use the login keychain"\

Hello recently my Macbook Pro Mountain Lion keeps coming up with "accountsd wants to use the login keychain" with a blank space to put my password. I have never seen this so I am a bit wary. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

For those who have wondered, the terminal command appears to be equivalent to setting the lock time for the "login" keychain to 1200 minutes (72,000 seconds).

The same can be achieved by launching "Keychain Access" (use Spotlight or Launchpad to find it), then option-click on "login" keychain at top right and choose "change settings". Check the "Lock after" box and enter "1200" minutes of inactivity.

On my Mac, the box was originally unchecked with "5" minutes grayed out, but after running the Terminal command the above settings were in place.

We'll see how it goes!

(Here is what I discovered after reading several more Apple community threads after posting my recent comment.)

What worked for me tonight was to simply click the locked Lock button on the top left corner of the Keychain Access window, which prompted me to enter an "iCloud helper" password, which was my usual Mac laptop account login password not my iCloud password. From what I can tell of reading several articles, when you log into your laptop, it opens or unlocks that Lock for the Keychain Access, allowing apps and whatnot access to the passwords you've saved. When something locks it back, whether you did it on accident, or something else changed it, I'd suggest checking their first to make sure that lock is unlocked.

I tried several things, from deleting entries in keychain (which only made things worse) to several other things I saw.

The only thing that really worked was to reinstall OS from scratch, I mean, erase your disk and reinstall.

When the system is back, use the very same password you have for iCloud for everything in your Mac.

It is not ideal, I know, but that is an approach.
