If an ATV is connected via LAN cable, is the air play still available via the existing wireless network.

If an ATV is connected via LAN cable, is the air play still available via the existing wireless network. I want to use the LAN for dowloading content (movies) in the fastest manner possible. But I also want to keep the air play available to stream content from my iPhone/iPad as well.

Apple TV (3rd generation), Windows XP

The wifi on the Apple TV is disabled when you use ethernet, however if you have a base station connected to your wired network or your router has wifi, you can communicate over that connection to use AirPlay.
