No Authroized Reseller or Retailer in Pakistan

Unfortunately, i live in Pakistan which is a country with no authroized reseller or retailer mentioned on the official Apple site. Also, let me tell you that people in Pakistan are huge fans of apple products which is easily figurable because every college student or person you see in a shop has an iphone or ipod. I had to specially go to Dubai with my dad to get my macbook pro 15 in. on my 11th Birthday which was in 2010. I am turning 14 and my dad has decided to get me an iPhone and a Macbook pro 13.3 in with retina display. Now the problem here is that people in Pakistan have been buying apple products from these shops like 'iRaffles' and 'iStore' which are said to be Authroized Resellers for a long long time. The prices here are more expensive for e.g a Macbook pro 13.3 with retina display (which i want) here is for almost $2000, getting sold by people who called themselves authroized. The reasons people buy from here are that some of these people cant afford to go abroad, so believing that these resellers are authorized, they buy from them. Fortunately, My dad is a succesfull industralist and we can afford to go on vacations every Summer, Spring and Winter break. Therefore, I've bought all my previous apple products from abroad and from authorized retailers. Everyone in my school seems to get their macbooks from abroad so im kinda having weird feelings of being the first one to buy from Pakistan, because you know these people are eligible to do lots of stuff and how would i know if there selling me something used or fake. I would want to know if there is any authorized retailer or reseller in Lahore, Pakistan, also if these people who are said to be authorized are trustworthy enough to buy apple products from. If there is a way we can buy online from Pakistani credit cards and get it shipped here, please reply.

iRaffles and iStore in Lahore advertise as being authorized resellers - see https://locate.apple.com/pk/en/.

Any of the online Apple Stores will ONLY ship within the country that the store is located, so I don't think that you'll be able to order online and have an item shipped to Pakistan.

So your only recourse seems to be to pay the surcharge from authorized resellers.

Sorry,

Maheen, I would not recommend getting an iPhone from Dubai. iPhones sold in the Arab regions do not have Facetime. and having an "Apple family" facetime is a must if you contact each other often.

My fiancée has an iPhone 5 which she bought from Dubai. whereas i, and alot of my family members have iPhones bought from pakistan. we can all video-call each other on facetime... but the one with whom i crave to talk face-to-face the most is deprived of facetime 😟 hope you can understand my feelings... we've had to resort to skype and tango and wechat... which is also OK, but facetime integration is what i am missing until we get married and i gift her an iphone bought from Pakistan... but then maybe we won't need facetime anyways 😝

the point is that you cannot have facetime EVER in your iphone bought from Dubai or anywhere in UAE. (and maybe Saudi Arabia too... though i'm not sure about KSA)

I would recommend getting an iPhone from Europe or the US, anywhere besides the Middle East... that is if you want facetime. You can ask anyone from your family in US or Europe or Australia to buy it for you and dhl/tcs/fedex it to you...

or as a last resort, get it from any reputed phone seller in Lahore... and make sure its NOT imported from Dubai or KSA (check for facetime before paying)... everything else will work fine

and you dont need to feel ashamed of being a Pakistani... and buying a phone from Pakistan is NOT weird. not in the least bit.
