I completely agree with Othabit. It isn't that hard to understand that an iPhone or iPad user should be able to use reverse imaging search from the phone, without having to upload the picture to the computer. For example: a few days ago I was on a hike with some friends and we came across a strange plant of which I took a picture. I then tried to do a google reverse imaging search which I couldn't do because it is impossible with an apple devise. My friend with android was able to do it right there on the spot and we were able to identify the plant. It's little things like this that keep making me want to switch devises.

Thank you! This issue has been driving me crazy for ages. Have had Puffin browser on my iPad for a long time but gave up using it as it was always very slow and crashing. Turns out to be the perfect solution and I can see it's much improved; will be using it more often now.

Can't help wondering why, if this image search using a photo from one's device is so easy for Puffin, why is it impossible for Safari or Chrome?

Your help is much appreciated.

Don’t know if the person asking the question ever got a suitable reply, but you are obviously NOT reading the question... using the iPhone (not a computer) is there any way to perform an image search using images in your iPhone. Images.google does NOT show the icon necessary from which to upload the image from your iPhone to the google search bar. Without using anything but your iPhone (6s, in my case) is it possible to perform a reverse image search???

Dear Ocean20,

Thank you for viewing my question. I know how to use google image search from a desktop of a PC and it works fine with camera icon appearing next to the search field for me to upload a stored image from my PC but trying to do the same from iPad or google goggle on iPhone is not possible at least so far from my perspective! Does anyone know how to solve this I.e. I have an image or a photo in my camera roll on my iPhone and I want to use it to search images like it on the web! I hope this question clearer now. Thanks and regards,

Did you read the description and instructions on the Google site how to use the service? You do it the exact same way as you would from any camera - import the photos to the PC and select them there.

iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer

They can't be selected from the phone, just like they can't be selected from a camera without importing them into the computer first. If you want to use images on your phone, that's what the app is for.

I really have no clue what you don't understand about using Google image search iPhone app.
