Desktop of Desk 1 is loosing his Background

Desktop of Desk 1 is loosing his Background

Hey there,

Since there was a System Crash because of TeamViewer, my Mac OSX Mountain Lion is loosing the setting for Background on Desk 1.

Desk 2 alway got his Background but Desk 1 is switching to a Blue Background on every Restart.

When i go to the Settings and only Click on another Folder, the Background change back to my choosen Image.

What can i do ?

I already removed TeamViewer ...

That issue is known to be caused by TeamViewer. How did you remove it, and have you rebooted since you did?

I removed TeamViewer by drag&drop into the trash from program Folder.

Yes i rebooted several times.

What can i do, for getting back my Wallpaper when booting.

And how can i use TeamViewer without this issue ?

You would need to reinstall TeamViewer:

Go to TeamViewer > Preferences...

General > uncheck - Start TeamViewer with system

Meeting : uncheck - Remove own wallpaper

(Optional) Remote Control : uncheck - Remove remote wallpaper

This solved my issue.

But is it possible to start TeamViewer with Mac without having issues like this ?

I removed TeamViewer by drag&drop into the trash from program Folder.

Then you didn't remove it. Any software that comes packaged as an installer must be uninstalled according to the developer's instructions, not by dragging something to the Trash.

TeamViewer 8 has an uninstaller in its folder, located in Applications. Reinstall Teamviewer and use the uninstaller to remove it properly.

Okay, now do i know how to remove TeamViewer.

But there are also enough Apps that will be removed by just Drag&Drop it to the trash.

2 Days and everything was fine ...

Just started my Mac some minutes ago.

The Background is blue.

Yesterday and today there was no problem.

But now, about 2 hours after my last use, the same error reappears.

The settings in TeamViewer are still the same as 2 days before.

Start TeamViewer with the System

Remote Control: Dont remove remote Wallpaper

Meeting: Dont remove own Wallpaper

This settings worked fine ...

Any ideas ?

Perfect solution - Thank you!

These two steps:

Meeting : uncheck - Remove own wallpaper

and

Remote Control : uncheck - Remove remote wallpaper

- solved it for me on Yosemite (10.10.5) without having to uninstall and reinstall TeamViewer (version 10.0.43320).
