my 160GB ipod classic will not do anything, can't be restored or formatted (error 1439)

I have tried many of the tips in various postings but to no avail

I've located an article that contains information and potential resoultions more specific to your particular error.

iPod: Cannot restore or update in iTunes with error 1415, 1417, 1418, 1428, 1429, 1430, 1436, or 1439
