I have my airport express connected to my computer via ethernet cable and I have the airport connected to my network.
But in the network connection settings it says that I'm connected but there's no internet access. The map in Network and sharing center looks like this:
(This computer) =============== Unidentified Network =======X========Internet
Can you please help me find a solution?

What IP does the Express have and what IP does it hand to the computer??
I presume you can access the express from airport utility in windows.. if not please do load it.

Is the express plugged into the uverse by ethernet?? Or are you wireless bridging??
If it is plugged in by ethernet.. is it in bridge mode??
What IP does the Express have on the main summary page and what IP does the computer get via the connection.. open command window and type ipconfig /all
I can't plug in the ethernet to the uverse itself because it's in the basement. So it is connecting wirelessly.
The airport gets an ip: 169.254.121.148
But the CMD prommpt shows no ip.

The express is self generated IP.. in other words it is not connected.. and either not in range of the uverse modem wireless or setup wrongly.. to extend and not join wireless.
