when i drag any song in my itunes library, it comes up with the restricted access sign, so i cannot sync it to me ipad.
ive triied reinstalling itunes and deauthorising and authorising it again, ive tried everything. what is wrong and what can i do, please help me, i am crying.

Don't panic!
Sometimes if you keep information on external third party hard drives, those drives need to be granted permission to edit information through software. If you right click on the folders that keep this information, make sure there is no read only option, or make sure you current login name is one of the names on the edit list.
Without more information, this would be my best guess.
If I was right about this, but the permision system is a bit stuborn, which is a problem ive had, you can also pull your files off of a third party drive, reformat that drive, and throw them back on.
Repair Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
