How to import pictures to "Camera Roll" ?

Hi!

I lost my iPhone, got a new one, and few days after got the replacement for the lost one.

When I first powered on the new one (that I purchased) I couldn't use the lost one's backup because its only 16gb.

When I first powered on the replacement, I did chose the lost phone's backup.

The problem is, I'm trying to migrate all the information (mostly pictures) I made with the 16gb iphone to the replacement 32gb I got from the insurance.

I tried to play with iTunes and iPhotos, but all I got is a huge "Photo Library" and a mid-size "Camera Roll" with all of my *old* pictures.

So, basically I'm just looking for a way to move all the new pictures from a Camera Roll on one phone, to the Camera Roll in a different phone on the same iCloud account.

download ( Photo Vault ) App and from itunes go to ur iphone app add the photo in photo vault folder

then go to the app from ur iphone choice itunes album then export photo to camera roll

You can also use an app called 'Rollit, photo transfer app'. It's really handy - USB transfer, which is 3x faster than WiFi and no third-party software to install.

Not correct. One can transfer images to the Camera Roll through DropBox. Upload images to dropbox. Open dropbox on phone. Open image and save to phone -- it will go to Camera Roll.

You don't import pictures to the camera roll. The camera roll is supposed to be temporary storage for photos taken on the phone. It is not meant to be long term storage.

That said, if you backed up the old phone, restoring that backup to the new phone will put anything that was in the camera roll into the camera roll on the new one... If the new phone is not large enough to accomodate all of the data that was on the old phone, then you're out of luck. Restoring a backup is all or nothing.

The question was how to restore from iPhone backup. Not from Dropbox. If the OP was not using Dropbox your solution is useless. If he/she was using Dropbox in iPhone AND using the Camera Upload option then he/she can move them from Dropbox to a folder or album and sync them back to iPhone but not in Camera Roll. As kiltedTim says the Camera Roll is a temporary place to save your photos and Videos.

There is an app in app store called drop2roll, just instal the app into your phone and follow the instruction, it's very easy and after you can put all the photos you want directly to camera roll......

That is not "importing" anything. That's saving pictures fom the Internet to your phone, which of course, puts them in the camera roll.

Call it whatever you want, the question was how to get pictures back onto the iPhone camera roll, and this is one way to do it.
