I work for an attorney and use my iPhone for business (I work remotely). Sometimes she asks me to put together a log of conversations with clients or other attorneys. How can I tell which calls were outgoing and which calls were incoming?

The > I mentioned shows when you to all calls in recents and you see the list
Thank you!! I thought at first, "hey, that just makes a return phone call". Lo and behold, if you don't fat-finger the blue arrow, you get call information. Thanks for solving my problem!!!! Just have to be careful with my fingers...
I mostly go by the icon ckuan noted. However, this only works if there is just one call. If there is more than one call grouped together, and they are both incoming and outgoing, you won't see the icon.
If you hit the blue arrow next to the contacts or phone number in the recent - it will say incoming or outgoing calls.
Tap on the > and it then takes you to an info page and it is mentioned there

You can also see on the Recent list, under the name of the recipient, there is and icon after the contact title for outgoing calls.
Meg, I can still see the icon even when they are group together if I initiated the call:

The 4 do includes Incoming and Outgoing Calls.
Huh. I have a group of two, first outgoing and second incoming. No icon. The incoming was the last call. I'll have to check for bigger groups.
