Why are the colors in my digital booklet super saturated on my iPad?

I find it ridiculous that I have to change the format of the digital booklet in the first place, but after I did that I transferred it to my iPad, opened iBooks and my digital booklet's colors re so saturated I could read half of the words in the book because they were black. How do I solve this??? Is it a bad download?
