Keyboard Language resets at login to US.

Hello Community,

I have a problem I didn't have up to Mac OSX 10.8. I've set my default (and only) keyboard layout to Polish Pro (US disabled since Polish Pro has the same characters plus Polish diactricts), but as I logout and login back it resets itself to US disabling Polish Pro.

I've googled out a walkaround but it doesn't work for me since there is no /System/Library/Preferences directory on my Mac ;]

Any ideas how to set Polish Pro as default keyboard layout permanently?

Thanks

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

There is a /Library/Preferences and a Users/YOU/Library/

1)

Open System preferences > language & text > Language > Make sure Polish is in the list and on top.

2) Open finder.

From the menubar Go > Finder

enter the following

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

move it to the trash and reboot.

Open System Preferences > Users & Groups

Click Login Options then select: Show input menu in login window

Restart your Mac.

If that didn't help, open the Finder.

From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.loginwindow.plist file to the Trash.

Restart your Mac.
