Q: Setup a roaming network between two airport extremes using directional antennas

I need to setup a roaming network using two airport extreme base stations.  I need some advice and/or suggestions for amplifier/directional antenna setups to range 2000' point to point between the two buildings where the airport extremes reside.

I basically need to provide wireless access point to adjacent building.  Is this the best solution for what I'm looking to achieve?

Well first, this will not be a roaming network at all since the AirPort devices must be connected by a wired Ethernet connection to meet that criteria.

You will need to look at professional equipment (at professional prices) for the type of installation that you are considering.  Unfortunately, we cannot help with this on this forum.

A good source would be Ubiquiti Networks, who will help you design a system for your needs. Good luck!
