Phone calls set to NOT view in lock screen yet they still appear

The notification settings only refer to alerts, not the incoming call behavior.

Other than the Do Not Disturb function, no.

Possibly Do Not Disturb? I've never tried to turn my phone off completely, but I am experimenting. I'll get back to you.

EDIT: I've tried every combination of Notification Center, badges, alerts, turning off lock screen and there is no way I can get my phone (other than the DND function) to keep from getting a notice on the phone of a call.

Well, that would prevent calls from appearing if you have it turned on.

Actually, everything is still functioning and the phone will still receive calls, mail, SMS, etc., just that they do not appear on the screen, there is no ringing, no vibration. You can set it to allow calls from your Favorites if you want. It will just keep the phone quiet and dark. Only way to notice things is to wake it up.

With DND, the calls are still registered on the phone (i.e. appear on the call lists) and would still be in the Notification Center if you choose to use it). In airplane mode, they will not come through at all - no signal.
