Jul 31, 2013 12:29 PM in response to tfknockby mende1,Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Sometimes, Boot Camp Assistant doesn't download the drivers correctly.
As you have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, I suppose you are going to install a 64-bit Windows 7 or 8 version, so download the drivers from the Apple site and follow the steps of the website > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
Follow Apple's steps to install Windows > http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.8.pdf

Jul 31, 2013 1:14 PM in response to tfknockby mende1,What file are you referring to? Note that you have to run the Windows support software in Windows.
If you have already installed Windows in Boot Camp, copy the Windows support software you have downloaded to a USB drive following the steps of the link of my first reply. Then, start up in Windows and install it.
If you are running Windows in Parallels only, you don't need the Windows support software. Instead, install the Parallels Tools offered with the application
