Just got new iphone, don't know how to pick up voicemail.

Check with your carrier. Voicemail is a carrier function. If you go to the voicemail tab on the phone, it should already be set up, however the carrier may require a passcode.

Can you not read my post? Go to the phone app, go to the voicemail tab. If that doesn't work, check with your carrier, they may require a passcode. Voicemail is a carrier function.

I find the top level isn't always registering posts and some posts take a while to appear

I'm also experiencing not seeing replies in threads that I have been a part of. This started yesterday for me. I will notice there has been a response to a thread I have posted in, and at the top is shows a reply by a certain individual however that post does not appear. I reported it in the Lounge.
That is it
I noticed that yesterday as well, but thought I was just seeing things. I'd see a reply listed, but not in the thread. Then I'd come back to the thread a minute or two later and see it appear.

To the OP, while I questioned if you had read my first post, I find there seem to be some problems with the forum. If you had not seen my first post when you asked if there were any answers, I'm as frustrated as you. However, in the spirit of friends, I'm sorry if my second post seemed harsh, however my information is still current.

you don't say which iPhone you have but if you look at this link and pick the relevant device you will find a wealth of info to help with your new iPhone in the user guide
