Jul 31, 2013 11:53 AM in response to gdgmacguyby Richard Stoerger,I am restoring my iPhone now. We'll see if that works. Face Time use to work. Several other devices on the same network, etc. work just fine. This is definiately specific to my phone (others are iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone4S and iPhone5).

Jul 31, 2013 12:21 PM in response to gdgmacguyby Richard Stoerger,Why is Face Time constantly not working with the notification "Connection Lost"? It use to work just fine and is not a network related issue.

Aug 6, 2013 12:34 PM in response to Richard Stoergerby Bagie0,I have tried everything. Still saying 'connection lost'. If the people at Apple are so clever, how come FaceTime still doesn't work?

Aug 6, 2013 12:39 PM in response to Richard Stoergerby Bagie0,Still trying to get it to work. Cannot get through to any of my contacts. Thought Skype was bad, but this is no better. Shame on you Apple.

Aug 6, 2013 12:56 PM in response to Richard Stoergerby Bagie0,Even more annoying now. I've just had an email from Apple telling me how to solve a problem. My problem is that Apple don't seem to be able to get FaceTime to work, so how do they expect me to do it? Is there anyone out there who is making it work at present?

Aug 18, 2013 8:51 AM in response to Richard Stoergerby lucassocal, during every single facetime call i make or receive, i get a lost connection & blank dark screen repeatedly during the call.......happening every minute at least with the blackouts lasting for varying amounts of time. (ipad5)

Aug 19, 2013 3:30 PM in response to Richard Stoergerby MizunoJoe,I'm experiencing this same issue - "connection lost" at time of call. It was working, and now it's not. I've tried facetiming numerous people that I have never had trouble with before. I have the iPhone 4 on the same home wireless network it's always been on.
The "question mark" is why is facetime failing every time now where it used to work fine?

Aug 19, 2013 3:47 PM in response to MizunoJoeby lucassocal,it's all too technical for me to understand but i think apple has attempted to work around a VHC patent infringement by implementing relay servers for communications in facetime, imessage & maybe other applications too.....according to what i'm reading, their workaround is failing......maybe even bogus.....apart from the connection issues, the relay servers are comprising secure communication in some ways......some tech folks can hopefully chime in with what's going on & what it all means.
