cant select my iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window
In Itunes if I click on File and then Devices, it does not allow me to select Sync. It is grayed out. How can I sync my songs?

Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Usually the Sync button will be greyed out if the iPod is already syncing. If this is not the case, try unplugging your device from the computer and reset it:

For best results, restart your computer before connecting your iPod
