Q: iPhone 3GS Stuck in boot loop but can still connect to iTunes

Hi,

I have an iPhone which I am struggling with. I have been trying to boot it up to restore it. iTunes has successfully restored it but the iphone only ever shows an apple logo. iTunes is currenctly asking for me to insert the correct sim to activate it. Can anyone advise me on how to get the iPhone to actually show what is on the screen?

This would happen if the phone was hacked to unlock it. When you restore it the phone again becomes locked to the original carrier.

Hi again...

I have activated it fine now but it still only shows the apple logo. iTunes still thinks that it is fine (still showing an activated iPhone and it can sync with it fine. Does anyone know how to get rid of the logo and show actually what is on the screen?

Something has failed. It could be corruption in your backup. Restore again and set up as a new phone. If the problem persists you have a hardware failure or your phone is jailbroken. If it isn't jailbroken take it to an Apple store (make an appointment first).
