launchpad search bar

Hi,

I just downloaded Mountain Lion and I suppose I like some of the features, but the search field in Launchpad is entirely useless. If I need to find an app I do it in finder. Hence I'd like to make search field go away, mainly because it takes up too much space at the top of the screen. I want my clean launchpad back, please.

Spotlight is faster than Launchpad, so use it instead. I don't find any reason to put OS X in risk by replacing the OS X Mountain Lion's Launchpad app by Lion's Launchpad because it won't work.

As the search bar is built in Launchpad app, you can't remove it without getting back to OS X Lion. In my opinion, you should leave it, and if you don't want it, it's time to go with better ways of searching apps, like Spotlight
