How to restore bookmarks from Time Machine on Lion Mountain

Hello all,

I recently accidently deleted a file of bookmarks while doing some re-organising in Safari.

By the time I realised what I had done, it was too late to undo so I figured there must be a way of using the backups in Time Machine do get the file back.

I've had a look around the forums already and they mostly suggest finding the safari folder and but I have no such folder, or at leadt I don't seem to be able to find it.

So if anyone out there has any idea how to solve this, I would be most grateful

Cheers

Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard (command-C):

~/Library/Safari

Quit Safari. Disable Safari synchronization in iCloud, if applicable.

Select

Go Go to Folder

from the Finder menu bar. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.

A folder window should open. Restore the file named "Bookmarks.plist" in that folder from a backup that predates the unwanted changes. If you disabled sync, re-enable it and test.
