My iPod Touch won't charge.

I have a 32gb iPod Touch 3G and it won't charge. I plugged it in to my charger and it charged to about 80% then stopped charging and I got a big yellow exclamation point inside of a triangle on screen that said charging wasn't supported with this accessory. When I very first plug it in, for about a second, it shows that it's charging. The oddest part about it is when I use that same cord and plug it into my computer, it registers with iTunes (but still doesn't charge while plugged in). I've tried using another cord and even restored my iPod to factory settings. What should I do?

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
