iMovie Frustration

I have a Canon HD CMOS that I use to film. When I connect the camera it allows me to select the clips I want to import and everything. While it is importing it RANDOMLY says that it was disconnected when it wasen't. iMovie loads for a while then i have to start ALL OVER again with uploading...this is VERY frusturating. Any reason why this is happening???

… because it erratically IS disconnecting? 😉

• try a different cable

• connect your camera to powerline, while transferring files

• in case, your cam uses SDcards (not build-in mem), use a (cheap, nothing special needed, found mine for 5$) card-reader connected to your Mac, to avoid any 'issues' based upon cam's electronics/settings/connections/…
