Mobile Asset

Hi.

First, I would like to thank the two who have helped me in the past.

I have a new issue. Last year my identity was stolen and I might be a little paranoid but there is something fishy going on with my iphone 4. It runs hot all the time, beeps, vibrates, and turns itself on and off. I have restored my phone a number of times, just in case, but nothing seems to help. I have turned off all notifications that have sound and that vibrate. Earlier this year I purchased an app that allows you to see how much data is being used by the apps on your phone. It showed that I had an app called Mobile Asset on my phone. I asked the company that makes the app what this app was as I had not purchased this app. Unfortunately, they did not know what it was. I looked it up on the internet and found a tracking device and software that is used by companies to track assets like computers and cell phones. The photo of the device is similar to what the IT department uses at the company that I work for, and two of my co-workers have been seen secretly using one of these devices in the office. I am affraid that they have somehow gotten access to my phone (which is possible) and are tracking my whereabouts, emails, texts, etc with this device.

Recently I used iDevice to look at the files on my iphone and in the folder named Root Doman>Library>Preferences there is a .PLIST file named com.apple.mobileasset.plist. It could be an apple thing. I am hoping that its the find my iphone app, but I'm not sure. These people boldly report the things that I text to others and information from my emails. Again, I could just be paranoid especially since I don't even know what a .PLIST file is or what I should expect when looking at the files on my iphone. Maybe, I'm in denial. I just need to have some questions answsered. Please help. What is this file? Does apple use Mobile Asset in any way on iphones? Thanks

iPhone 4, iOS 6.0.1

Oh, I apologize gdgmacguy for using this board to do what millions of apple consumers do on a daily basis- ask for advice/help. Seems to me that you are too caught up in your extraordinary knowledge of all things apple that you don't have the time nor the civility to answer the question of a person who has only posted three questions on this board since purchasing an apple product. Wow, you told me.

Lastly, you do not speak for the users here. You only speak for yourself and the idiot who liked your self-righteous; condescending post. There were three people with the same question. I guess your ego-inflated head didn't notice that.

God bless you and all that you do. May you receive similar service from someone just like you.
