Haven't see many people say the numbers were wrong but I'm sure mistakes can happen. If her's was in error, she could contact iCloud support: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/. This would normally involve a charge but under the circumstances she can argue that she shouldn't be charged for the call.
