Unsyncing two laptops using the same gmail account

Hi,

I am transferring all data to my Macbook Pro from my old macbook

I set up gmail on the new Macbook Pro and it was immediately Synced across from the old to the new laptop. GREAT! But unfortunately NOT great!!

I now cannot do anything without it affecting the gmail on BOTH machines.

I need to remove ALL the emails etc from the old machine Before I sell it and I can't without it taking out everything on the NEW laptop as well.

So How do I UNSYNC them?

Thanks for your help.

Mac OSX, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

Hi again,

Sorry I thought it had worked! I removed both me gmail accounts as you instructed and then then went in and tested it again but unfortunately its still removing from both accounts on the two laptops.

So I went into Firefox browser Sync setting and Unsynced any devices I had synced removed all google cookies and logged out an in again but when I delete on my old macbook gmail it still removes it from the gmail account in the new one as well. So the UNSYNC function on Macbook Pro and on Firefox doesn't seem to be working as it should

Any other things I should do?

Thanks again
