How to remove ukash virus
Can anyone recommend software to remove the Ukash virus?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
How do you know for sure your Mac has been infected ?
That virus can only cause problems for Windows users, not Macintosh.

Well it's locked up my browser . But I think I found the answer. But thanks for replying. But it does effect macs.

There have been a rash of posts, of recent, from users who have claimed their Macs have caught a "NASTY" virus, but none of these posters can ever verify and confirm it or reallly tell you what the virus is.
Just vague symptoms like their Macs are not running well or if they can verify they caught a virus when running Windows on a Mac.
They never can supply any real answer or proof.
In a way, not too surprising considering that anything that goes wrong on a Windoze machine is thought to be a virus.....
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari âč Preferences... âč Security
and uncheck the box marked Enable JavaScript. Leave the preferences dialog open.
Close the malicious window or tab.
Re-enable JavaScript and close the preferences dialog.
Ukash is just another variant of the FBI "ransomware" scam. It is not a virus. See:

So if i got that FBI browers block thing, i dont need to get a anitvirus or anything to get rid of it? its not really a virus?
No, you don't need antivirus for the FBI scam. It isn't a virus in the true sense of the term, merely a malcious popup that crops up via Javascript as Linc has stated.
The FBI scam is a well known example of what is often called "ransomware" - a popup with the intention of frightening you into paying money to get your computer "unlocked".
If you really must pay money, then I know a member of the former Nigerian royal family who is in desperate straits.....đ.
Follow Linc's advice and get the malicious popup closed.
