How to get my iPad Mini off the update loading screen?

I recently was update my iPad Mini (a1454) by using itunes and when I got the message that my iPad Mini was updated on my laptop...my iPad Mini restarted and then when the update was 1/8 of finish updating it froze and everytime i rebooted it, it went back to the process.

Note: when it was updating and everytime it restarted it wouldnt be near finished and i waited over a hour to see if it would finish.

Next try the remaining items of:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
