FaceTime won't verify the email I want to use for people to contact me

When I go onto FaceTime and sign in it asks me to choose which email I want to use, so I choose e email and it says verifying but then sends me back to the start. What should I do ?

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

Make sure that the email address that you are using is your Apple ID email address. Also go to Settings>General>Date and Time and make sure that it is set for Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone is correct as well. If all of the information is correct, change the time zone setting to another time zone, then correct it and then try setting up FaceTime again.
