Aug 2, 2013 6:40 AM in response to Cathy Zielskeby John Galt,Do you have an HP LaserJet Pro CP1525NW?
Have you attempted to add the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan?
If you want to use it wirelessly, don't use its USB port. That will just confuse matters since a printer connected to a Mac's USB port and the same printer connected wirelessly may as well be two different printers, as far as the Mac is concerned.

I'm using the latest OS.
By that I assume you are using OS X 10.8.4 "Mountain Lion" and that it is updated with the most recent HP drivers.

I do have 10.8.4 plus the latest driver from HP.
HP suggested doing a wired connection first, and of course, if I want to be wired, that works.
But this printer has printed wirelessly for the past year with my Mac Pro tower, iPads, Mac Books, iPhones, etc.
I deleted the printer, then when ahead and added the Nearby Printer, but it still says it's not connected.
I will read through all the links you provided. Thanks again.
