MacBook Pro

Dear readers,

I have installed Windows 8.1 via BootCamp because I desperately need it for my study in university to run Visual Studio and so on. But I do have a problem, on my retina MacBook Pro, it causes the temperature of the MacBook to really be warm.

Is this a known issue?

When running MacOS, your MBP will use the integrated Intell graphics controller or the discreet graphics controller depending upon which is needed. When runnig the discreet controller, it will run hotter and have a shorter battery life. When running Windows, your MBP will only use the discreet graphics controller, thus causing it to run hotter than when running MacOS.
