Pci Card Interfaces on iMac i5 ?

Hi guys I'm thinking about buying a Rme Digiface for my home studio, now this is a Pci card interfece, would it work on my iMac ? I know the connection is made via a firewire cable so should I connect the interface to my firewire port ?
