Hi, The camera in my MacBook Pro 10.6.8 isn't showing up in Skype (the indicator light doesn't show and it doesn't show in Skype preferences). Also Photo Booth doesn't recognize a camera. What can I check for please? MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

No go, Carolyn. The camera indicator light still does not come on and Photo Booth, Ichat, Skype preferences do not recognize any camera and nothing in the system profiler - USB for Isight or camera. Thank you for the suggestion though.

The next day, the camera did show up in the appropriate software and in the LED indicator. Not sure why it didn't show up right after the SMC reset was done. I'm hoping that the camera showing up was related to the SMC reset and not a faulty connection that is now making contact.
