I need to get my phone repaired tomorrow and they told me to backup my phone. I think I've done this on my computer but how do I know if it was successful? Do I need to sync it, or just backup?

I would do both. You can go into iTunes if that is where you backed it up and check. When the phone is connected and the iPhone selected, go to the Summary page and it will tell you when it was last backed up. And you can go to Edit>Preferences>Devices, and you will see a list of date/time of backups.

Did what work? This is a 3-year old thread, and things may have been different then than they are now. What exactly is your question?
