The Best Alternatives for Security Questions and Rescue Mail

1. Send Apple an email request at: Apple - Support - iTunes Store - Contact Us.

2. Call Apple Support in your country: Customer Service: Contact Apple support.

3. Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions.

An alternative to using the security questions is to use 2-step verification:

But you can't set up two-step verification unless you can log into your account, which requires knowing your security question answers. So the OP is caught in a catch 22. Also, once two step is set up Apple cannot help you if you forget any of your verification parameters; you are taking total responsibility for managing your user ID and password. so I don't think it's a good option for someone who has forgetten the answers to their security questions.

I know that. I was not suggesting you could do one without the other. That would be explained in the link.

Whether it's good for someone or not is up to that person to decide. Frankly, I see little point of password protection systems when users will forget the password, use an easily cracked password, or write it down in an obvious location.

If Apple, Google, etc. are going to have my private information, then I should not be the one responsible for protecting it. That should be their responsibility. Unfortunately, modern technology has gone well beyond our ability to protect our private information. So, if you can't make the effort to remember your passwords, then you deserve to lose your data.
