cannot sinc music to my ipod touch

i am trying to sync my ipod touch to my itunes and it will not transfer the music files. it says that it is sync'd but when i check my ipod there is "no content". it worked fine a few months ago when i last sync'd but now it is not... and actually having the same problem with my classic...

i am sure it is something stupic im missing but please help...
