My ipod and notebook freezes when I try to synchronize the whole libary

I have an ipod classic 80gb but when I'm trying to synchronize the whole libary (less then 80gb) from my notebook to my ipod it just gets synchronized until 30gb in the ipod, then it freezes, everything stops working and the ipod needs to be restored.

What could I do to solve this?

I have to say it used to work right until I change my notebook and then I need to restore the ipod's libary.
