Can't connect Logic Remote to my iMac

I picked up Logic Pro X the other day and cannot get the Logic remote working on my iPad 3. The remote app sees my iMac and the iMac displays the prompt saying that the iPad is trying to connect. But it never does and gives the error "Logic Remote was unable to connect to the selected Mac running Logic...". I have deleted it and reinstalled the remote app on the iPad several times times, deleted all control surfaces in Logic many times, restarted Logic, rebooted my iMac, unplugged the network cable and used my iMac wirelessly, turned on file and screen sharing, made sure my firewall is off, uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the iPad and nothing is working. I then tried installing Logic on my Mac Air laptop and it does the same thing - never connects.

Any suggestions?

iPad, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

What model of Router are you using?

If it is not an Airport.. then make sure your router can handle Multicasting and it is turned on.

If that doesn't work..

Try making an Ad Hoc network between your Mac and your iPad and test then... If that works you know the issue is in regards to your network/router etc somehow..

How to make an Ad Hoc network? See the following link...
