iPhoto won't let me order my book, says not complete. It is.

Has anyone experienced issues with iPhoto not letting you order a book because it thinks it's missing photos?

Sure

and in 100% of the cases so far there is a missing photo

Typically it is on a page that requires a photo that have photos place in front of the missing photo making it hard to find - all pages must have either a photo background or a colored background - go thorugh you book and check the page background for each page - you will find one or more missing photos - either place a photo in each one or change it to a colored page background

I also notice a yellow "!" on all the pages with background photos but one.

See this article for details on warnings - What are the pixel dimensions and the print image size for the photos with the warning?

And is the background photo fine? How does apreview look?

I ordered this book last week no problem, then I changed some photos around and now it won't let me order it.

So it is not the same book - In the future including little details like errors and the fact that it is not the same book but a different one will help getting better assistance quicker

This same exact thing is happening to me. I am getting the incomplete book warning. I have check every page and can't find where my missing photo is. Also, I just noticed I have yellow warning signs when I view all pages on every page that I have a background photo. I don't want to use a color as the background. I want to use a photo like the option gives me. Does this option not work? When I went through and changed all my background photos to black it still said I had an incomplete book. So frustrating. I have spent weeks on this book. Please help...

And CRITICAL what is the EXACT message you are getting

If it says you have a missing photo then you do and you must find it to order

And yes background photos do work but they do have to be a photo from your library

As to the yellow triangle do you read the APple support article on warnings? If not then you need to

When I went through and changed all my background photos to black it still said I had an incomplete book.

Exactly how did you do this? Do you have an All Black photo that you placed on each page?

If you want help you need details like exact wrok flows and exact error messages

And note that no where did any one suggest taht you have to use a color or that you can not use a photo - you must either use a color or a photo - you can not use a photo page and then put no photo from your library into it

I had the same problem! And it's got to be a programming bug!!! I created a book and no problem. As soon as I duplicated the book, I got many yellow warning signs and a message that photos were missing when I tried to order book. After reading this thread, I changed the background color to white on each page that had the warning mark and the warnings went away. For some reason, not all the pages had the warning mark. Very inconsisitent problem. I'm actually using photos for all my backgrounds and some of them have a less than 100% transparency which is why I chose to use white for the background color. This is a bug that IPhoto needs to correct! IPhoto provides a transparent box to use for placing a photo, but it doesn't alway works correctly. Therefore, sometimes a color needs to be applied behind the photo.

Once I corrected it to get rid of yellow warnings, I still couldn't buy the book becasue I still got the message that photos were missing. After clicking on "OK", the program took me to the spread that was the issue. The photos were not missing. There was one photo on each of the spreads. I applied a white color to the background and then I was able to order the book.

My suggestion is that you look at your book in "Pages" View and you can select multiple pages in that view and change the color quickly.

IPhoto needs to test their products better!
