What's the best hardcover case for the Macbook Pro Retina?

Hey everyone! I recently bought the new rMBP and since this is a very expensive piece of investment, I want to protect it with a case. I've read in some forums and other product reviews of Speck and Moshi that these are the top brands in the market... and these brands are what I am thinking about of buying.

The only concern that I have is that it might chip the aluminum of my rMBP when I'm trying to install it and it will accumulate dusk in a few weeks. If so, regular cleaning means taking my hardcase often... would it damage my laptop and the aluminum?

Any brand suggestions? Thanks! : )

I recommend NO case. They inhibit the dissipation of the heat that a MBP generates Which will allow the MBP to run hotter than necessary.

Dont get a hardcase for it, rather buy some theft/loss/accident insurance, ....those hard cases keep heat from conducting and venting from the alloy body of the macbook.

The Retina Macs run warm as it is, not a good idea to put a hot sweater (hard case) on a panting dog (your mac) 😊

So if a hardcase would make my rMBP heat up... is a skin better? I would reaaaallllyyy want to have something to protect my Mac.

And in some reviews online it's better than Zagg Invisible shield because it wont turn yellowish in color in the long run.

The only times that I cover My MBP is when I transport it. I put it in a sleve and then place it in a computer carrying bag.

Otherwise, as Hugh Hefner suggests, some things look better naked. So does my MBP.
