I was wondering when the iPod 6th generation is coming out. I don't want to buy the 5th generation and find out the 6th generaton came out. Thanks

I dont think the 6th gen has been announced. I also dont think it will come out this year as Apple renews iPods every 2 years.

3rd gen ipod touch released - Sept 2009
4th gen ipod touch released - Sept 2010
5th gen ipod touch released - Sept 2012
Becuase the iphone 5s didn't add much to the iphone line they might wait til the 6th one like they did for 4 and 5. Becuase iphone 6 is romored to have more memory, same size bigger screen (basicly the edge of the devise that still is there), and the finger print scaner on the side of the home botten not on the home botten. That is all i know for now i will keep up trying to find more rommors. I have an ipod 5thG, best thing ever u sould totaly get one, the 32GB, becuase the next one will most likely be in the next year or so, then 64GB/ or more for that one.
Remember its just a romor it might be true it might not be.
