How do I reset my mail application on my mac?

I want to reset my mail application on my mac to "factory condition". So that when I start it it is at the configuration screen.

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

I've never tried this, but I would think the way to do this would be:

Open Mail's Preferences (from the menu bar under Mail). Choose the "Accounts" tab. Delete each account there by highlighting it and pressing the minus sign in the lower left.

Once all accounts are deleted, are you then at the state you wish?

If not, the next step might be Mailbox > Rebuild from Mail's menu.
