Q: ipad has locked with a message about not backed up for 9 weeks, and i cannot fine out how to unfreeze screen to get into settings to back up on itunes

My ipad is frozen witha message "hasnt been back up for 9 weeks" I am connected to Wifi thru lap top but cant see how to back up to cloud or itunes. I dont think I set up cloud when i set up originally

    A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart. No content will be affected.
