I downloaded songs from iTunes. 2 copies downloaded to ipad mini. one plays the other doesn't. can't delete one that doesn't.

My iPod and iPhone downloaded the songs correctly (one copy of songs on each device). However when the songs were downloaded to my iPad there are 2 copies of the song. One copy plays and the other doesn't. I can't delete the one that doesn't play. Any way to fix this?
