Why can't I install iMovie 7.1.4?

i have a Mac 10.4.11 with imovie hd 6.0.6. so i downloaded imovie 7.1.4, but when i opened the installer, it said "An eligible iMovie application was not found in the location /Applications." why is this happening and what can i do?

If you downloaded the iMovie 7.1.4 update from the Apple website, it only works with older iMovie 7 versions. As you have iMovie HD, you will have to upgrade to iMovie 7 first, included in iLife '08.


iLife '08 is the most recent version for Mac OS X 10.4.11, and you can buy it at Amazon or eBay > http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iLife-08-OLD-VERSION/dp/B000BX5JQG
