Q: CAN I TRACK MY STOLEN IPHONE BY IMEI?

My iphone 5 got stolen this vacations and i locked it with find my iphone, but I was wondering if I can track it by imei or something because now I believe they took the sim card away and it has no signal at all and it appears offline on Icloud

    No, it can only potentially be found via iCloud it had Find My iPhone enabled ont it - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPhone disabled on it.

     

    If you haven't already done so then you should report it to the police (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2526). You should also contact your carrier and change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.
