Q: my computer is saying that the usb device is unknown when i plug my ipod into it. Now my ipod won't turn on.

I went to plug in my ipod into my computer, however i acidentally took it out when it was installing something. However i didn't know this at the time.

Now everytime i plug in my ipod into my computer it says the usb device is unknown and my ipod will not turn on. Please help, as i do not know what to do and it is new.

It is also saying that the usb port has malfuctioned and windows does not recognise it.
