my imac (late 2012) is shutting down suddenly, I am not receiving any warning or error message after I restart it? I recently brought it in for a fan replacement, could this be related?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Try resetting the SMC first, if that doesn't correct it take it back to where you had it serviced.

Shut down the computer.

Unplug the computer's power cord.

Wait fifteen seconds.

Attach the computer's power cord.

Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
